How Payroll Center collects, uses, protects and deletes your information.
Effective date: January 1, 2026 · Last revised: July 1, 2026
Payroll Center ("Payroll Center," "we," "us," or "our"), located at 1221 Lena Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30314, operates the website https://payrollcenter.net (the "Site") and provides payroll management services (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the rights you have under United States federal and state law.
If you optionally provide your mobile number and check the SMS consent box on any of our forms, you consent to receive text messages from Payroll Center related to the form's stated purpose (billing notifications or marketing updates). Participation is entirely optional and consent is not a condition of purchase.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with: (a) service providers who process it on our behalf under contract (e.g., email delivery and hosting providers); (b) government agencies when required for payroll tax filing as part of the Services; and (c) authorities where required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.
We protect information with HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, bcrypt-hashed passwords, salted one-time-passcode records, CSRF tokens, spam honeypots, and a server-side file-based database stored in a web-inaccessible directory with owner-only file permissions. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we continually review and improve our safeguards.
We retain account and submission records for as long as your account is active and as required by U.S. tax and employment record-keeping rules (generally at least 4 years for payroll tax records). You may request deletion as described below.
Depending on your state, you may have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA), the Virginia VCDPA, Colorado CPA, Connecticut CTDPA and similar statutes, including the rights to:
To exercise any right, email support@payrollcenter.net with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity and respond within the time required by your state law (generally 45 days, extendable where permitted).
Marketing emails are sent only with your consent, identify Payroll Center as the sender, include our valid physical postal address, and honor opt-out requests promptly — consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link, or you may email support@payrollcenter.net.
The Site and Services are intended for adults managing payroll. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (consistent with COPPA). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Where technically feasible, we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out of sale/sharing. We do not respond to legacy "Do Not Track" signals because no uniform standard exists.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last revised" date, and where appropriate we will notify active clients by email.
